Blends Like New, But Fails Quickly This was a replacement for an original cutter blade that cracked after years of use. This part fit perfectly and restored like-new blending and chopping to my Cuisinart blender. It even came with the rubber gasket.
Tight fit for CB-4 blender I bought this to replace the blade on our CB-4 blender (blade part # CB-456-23). It is not a perfect fit. It is about 1/32 inch larger in diameter, and doesn’t fit the screw on base without jamming. I had to sand down the outer edge. Once I did that, it works perfectly.I wrote to Cuisinart, and they claim that there are no replacement parts available for a blender as old as the CB-4.
IT’S NOT THE BLADES FAULT! I RUINED IT… I think I figured out why these blades freeze up so soon! This was the third replacement blade for me. Here’s my findings: Wash by hand (careful IT’S SHARP) and set it to dry with the blades up rather than pointing down. The rubber O-ring does a good job of keeping the blender contents out of the drive-shaft housing, but it also keeps wash water/detergent trapped when it enters the from the other end; so stand it on the gear head to dry w/ blades up&up.
